Air curtains in PepsiCo's factory in Colombia

Tuesday 22 March 2022

Once again, Airtècnics goes around the world and arrives to Colombia by SOLUMAT, Airtècnics air curtains distributor, to install air curtains of several models in a factory of the PepsiCo group. Thus, the food production plant is protected against the possible problems that can be caused by insect pests or draughts.

In the food industry, chemicals used to reduce oests can endanger the health of consumers. An alternative to achieve the necessary protection against insects are air curtains. Airtècnics has developed an air curtain model with its own technology that creates an impenetrable barrier for flying insects.

Three different models have been installed in the PepsiCo factory in Colombia:

  • Fly KXL: specially designed to prevent the entry of insects and some rodents into establishments; it is effective in accesses of up to 4 metres in height, according to NSF 37. It is the most powerful air curtain in the range and incorporates a discharge kit that optimises the exit of air at maximum speed with minimum turbulence, generating a more efficient air barrier.
  • Maxwell: is the industrial air curtain that covers large doors. It can be installed vertically and horizontally over doors. The most special feature of this air curtain is that the discharge diffuser has a double jet that creates a Coanda effect, with which more reach is achieved.
  • Windbox LXL: Air curtains with nozzles were installed at the entrances to the sanitising area for the people working in the PepsiCo factory in order to generate a more powerful air jet.

Air curtain solutions are as varied as the needs of each installation. In Airtècnics we put at your disposal a team of engineers with the highest qualities to develop a project with the highest technology in ventilation and the maximum customization.
