Scalo Milano, the renowned outlet village located on the outskirts of Milan, has taken a significant step towards improving sustainability and the shopping experience with the recent installation of over 50 Airtècnics air curtains. This initiative not only reaffirms the shopping center's commitment to the environment but also sets a new standard in comfort and energy efficiency for its visitors.
A notable feature of this project is the extensive use of DX units. These air curtains incorporate a direct expansion coil that, when connected to a heat pump, offers a low-consumption alternative compared to traditional electric heating or hot water heating batteries. The selected heat pumps include leading brands such as Clivet, Daikin, and Fujitsu.
The air curtains are installed in various renowned stores, such as Aldo, Adidas, Reebok, Bialetti, Sun Fashion Lab, and Rowenta. They use models such as the ZEN design air curtain or the more standard WINDBOX air curtains. This diversity in types of air curtains ensures perfect adaptability to the specific needs of each location, thus optimizing air quality and comfort for consumers and employees alike.
The adoption of Airtècnics air curtains at Scalo Milano not only improves the energy sustainability of the shopping center but also provides an invisible barrier that maintains ideal indoor climate conditions, preventing the entry of contaminated or unwanted outdoor air.
The Scalo Milano project has been led by our air curtain distributor in Italy, Eurotecno, a company renowned for its know-how, high problem-solving capacity, and flexibility in providing technical solutions that support its clients in any critical or specific aspect.
