Since beginning its operations in the mid 80's, Airtècnics has maintained a strong commitment to the environment. Minimizing waste and recycling have always been among our top priorities.
Both are achieved through a very efficient manufacturing process to minimize the resources and energy used, combined with a disciplined waste management program (paper, cardboard, plastics, metals, etc.) actively supported by all our employees.
Airtècnics has a solar photovoltaic system covering the entire roof of its facilities, generating all the energy used by the company and a surplus for the population. Our solar panels create an annual emission savings of over 13 tons of CO2.
Airtècnics' sensitivity to the environment is also reflected in our products. Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Union has defined the requirements for designing sustainable, energy-related products. The new Ecodesign directive has two phases; ErP2013 - mandatory for January 1, 2013; and Erp2015 - mandatory for January 1, 2015.
Airtècnics already has models that are Erp2015 compliant.
