Airtècnics has reached a significant milestone by obtaining AMCA certification for its Windbox and Zen air curtain models. This certification, in accordance with the ANSI/AMCA 220 Standard, confirms the air flow rate, average outlet velocity, outlet velocity uniformity, velocity projection, and power rating at free delivery through laboratory methods.
This is a crucial step in consolidating the Airtècnics brand in the North American market, where AMCA certification is essential for meeting building energy codes, such as ASHRAE 90.1-2019 and IECC2018. In this way, an air curtain would fulfill the vestibule functions, which are key to ensuring energy savings at building entrances, while promoting the "open door" effect that helps boost sales for businesses.
The ratings displayed are based on tests and procedures conducted in accordance with AMCA Publication 211 and meet the requirements of the AMCA Certified Ratings Program.
We are proud of achieving this goal and are very grateful for the tireless efforts of our colleagues at Airtècnics North America, who have worked closely with our headquarters team to make this possible.
