A fan heater is the most efficient device for heating a large open space quickly. It works with a fan and a system of resistances that heat the air passing through. Due to its high power and flow rate, it is the most commonly used option in the industrial sector or on construction sites. It is also ideal in large open spaces, industrial buildings, factories, warehouses, large sports facilities, commercial areas, car parks or trade fair and congress halls.
The fan heaters, either fixed or portable, are devices designed to generate heat by means of the conversion of electrical energy. Airtècnics has in its catalogue several models of fan heaters and we will go through their types, differences and use.
The range of fixed fan heaters are permanently installed. They can be independently controlled or connected to a central control system, which facilitates the management and regulation of heat throughout the installation.
There are two fixed installation models in the Airtècnics catalogue. The most common use of the Airtècnics basic fan heater is heating in warehouses, logistic centres, trade fair and congress halls, it is installed on the wall connected to water ducts to heat the coils. It is manufactured in galvanised steel with a white finish on the standard model, which can be customised with another colour from the RAL chart. This heater operates by means of a water coil. The diffuser grille is made up of louvres with a range of movement from 0º (no air will escape) to 70º.
In addition, we have a ceiling fan heater with water heating, which can be used to heat sports facilities, shops, car parks or exhibition halls by adapting to the ducts. The unit has a robust construction, made of galvanised sheet steel, finished in white as standard and, on request, a wide range of colours from the RAL catalogue are available. This product complies with the requirements of the EU ErP 2015 Ecodesign Directive.
On the other hand, there are also portable fan heaters, whose main advantage is the ability to move them to different spaces as needed. They provide localized heat on a temporary basis, making them ideal for use in itinerant spaces, temporary construction sites, outdoor spaces, etc. Portable fan heaters have wheels and handles for easy transport.
The unit is robust and versatile, made of white galvanised sheet steel and any other colour from the RAL chart can be selected on request. The unit can be moved from one place to another thanks to the wheels installed on the base and the handle on the side.
The diffusers, available in metal or synthetic fabric, allow the heat to spread efficiently in different directions for greater effectiveness and to ensure durability and prevent the recirculation of coarse dust, it is supplied with a G4 pre-filter.
Depending on the type of heating, there are two models. The water heating model, which requires a water connection as well as a mains power connection; and the electric portable fan heater, which only requires an electrical connection to enjoy all its features and guarantee a comfortable temperature for workers and visitors.
