Fans for cooling data centers

Data centers produce a lot of heat, which is one of the problems they cause and one of the most important to eradicate. Energy-efficient EC fans help to reduce operating costs and are part of an economical and environmentally friendly cooling concept.

Most of the energy consumed by data processing centres goes into cooling and conditioning the environment surrounding these electronic devices. Data centres are spaces in which an organisation's information is stored and processed, and these spaces can be as large as a building, occupy basement rooms or be the size of a small storage room.

This electronic technology requires very specific environmental conditions, low relative humidity and temperature for optimal storage and operation.

Fans for cooling data centers

The product range of EC fans is as wide as the possible applications.  There are GKHM / GKHR radial fans with the following main features:

  • Modbus-compatible, electronically commutated motor (EC motor)
  • Built-in safety device
  • Can be operated independently of mains frequency (50/60Hz)
  • High-performance, efficient, low-noise and backward curved impeller
  • UL-certified
  • Compact design, ideal for small spaces
  • Quick adjustment of the cooling unit capacity via integrated control (0-10V)
  • Up to 50% more energy savings compared to AC fans

The field of application is very wide, they serve as precision air conditioners, as a ventilation unit for direct or indirect cooling, in chillers, for uninterruptible power supply systems, also in air handling units... In short, all the requirements for an efficient data centre and to keep the servers in optimum condition.
