We often mention the advantages of modernizing an air handling unit with ECFanGrid, where the inefficient transmission fan is replaced by a series of EC fans arranged in a matrix within the AHU.
In the installation shown below, the new, highly efficient fans deliver an air volume of 50,000 m3/h. All fans in the unit are controlled at a single connection point in an electrical cabinet outside the AHU.
In turn, the air flow is more efficient thanks to the ECFanGrid, as it reaches the subsequent components of the air handling unit, such as filters or heat exchangers, more evenly.
For this project, the energy efficiency was increased by 44%, which translates into annual savings of around 10 tonnes of CO2 and financial savings for the owners of the installation.
The installation kit that Airtècnics delivers, broken down by components, and the fact that it is a fully customised and adaptable equipment, favours that the installation and commissioning work time is very reduced. This project was completed in only three days.
