The best way to extend the life of a building's HVAC system is to upgrade it. To do this, it is essential to replace the old, inefficient belt-driven fans with an ECFanGrids. These are more efficient and are designed to be fail-safe.
The advantages of carrying out a retrofit project with ECFanGrids are numerous, which is why a technology company decided to replace 8 belt-driven fans with four ECFanGrids distributed in 3x5 EC fans of size 450 for air supply and another four ECFanGrids, 2x4, with EC fans of size 560 for extraction.
All fans are equipped with the most powerful EC motors of the latest generation: they reach a total of 100,000 m³/h (1000 Pa) in the intake air and 115,000 m³/h (800 Pa) in the exhaust air.

Thanks to the renewal of the air handling unit with ECFanGrids, optimal operation is guaranteed. Even if one fan fails, the rest self-regulate to maintain the building's ventilation performance.
