In restaurants where the doors are large open accesses to the street, air curtains are required to prevent the exchange of air between the outside and inside the premises.
In the constant quest to improve the experience for visitors and workers, spaces with open doors at street level have found an effective solution: air curtains. This sophisticated technology has become a preferred option for maintaining a comfortable, draught- and dust-free environment, allowing establishments to enjoy the benefits of having a direct connection to the street without sacrificing the well-being of their customers.
Air curtains also contribute to reducing energy costs, as they minimize air conditioning losses by keeping doors open. This is especially relevant during warmer or colder seasons, when air conditioning systems are working more intensively.
In this project, one of the best-selling models from the standard range, the Windbox air curtain, was chosen. This model is very versatile due to the wide possibility of different finishes and the incorporation of different kits that facilitate up to nine different installation configurations.
It is an air curtain suitable for both commercial and industrial accesses due to its compact yet robust design. The front suction grille is micro-perforated and acts as a filter, as well as being easily accessible for servicing the air curtain.
The Windbox model from the standard air curtain range is designed with double suction centrifugal fans with low noise external rotor motors. In addition, it has a 5-speed selector and can be selected with EC fans, which are more efficient and energy-saving.
Regarding the type of heating, it can be manufactured with hot water coils, three-stage electric heaters with regulation included, or adaptable to heat pump equipment. However, if preferred, there is also a version without heating.
The included wall-mounted controller is installed via Plug&Play and can be controlled remotely. Optionally, the Clever Advanced Control can be installed (programmable, automatic, intelligent, energy saving, Modbus RTU for PLC...).
The Windbox air curtain has achieved CSA certification according to UL and CSA standards for its presence in the North American markets.
