Airtècnics Windbox air curtain has been chosen and installed by our distributor Mundoclima for the international cultural centre Niemeyer due to its high performance and great adaptability.
The international cultural centre Oscar Niemeyer is named after its designer, the Brazilian architect, death in 2012. It is the only building in Spain by this architect and was inaugurated in 2011 in Avilés, a city in Asturias.
Windbox is an air curtain model from the standard range, which adapts perfectly to any commercial or industrial access, for doors up to 4.2 metres high, depending on the motor selected.
It is a model that can be installed in up to nine different ways thanks to a series of complements designed to adapt the installation to the available space in the most suitable way possible. Among some of its possibilities is the installation in a false ceiling for a recessed finish.
The micro-perforated front suction grille acts as a filter and requires very little maintenance. The outlet jet has adjustable louvres to optimise the efficiency of the device. The housing, which is white by default, can be customised in any colour available on the RAL chart to integrate it as much as possible with the colour palette of the interior.
Moreover, it is available in different sizes and, upon request, it can be chosen with a water heating system, with electric resistance or with air heating only, for room separation.
This air curtain also has other features such as the energy saving EC motors and the possibility of connecting it to a heat pump heating system of the brands compatible with Airtècnics air curtains.
After a long process of validation and joint work with different departments and the Airtècnics delegation in North America, the Windbox air curtain has obtained the CSA/UL certification for its presence in the United States and Canada markets.
