The entrances to the Fnac shop in the Galerie Lafayette in Perpignan have been equipped with Zen decorative air curtains by Airtècnics to promote energy saving. The Zen model is highly customisable, thanks to the front panels, and has its own catalogue of finishes.
Airtècnics' distributor in France, Exeltec, carried out this project directly with the engineering, from the design of the air curtain to the commissioning, to achieve the optimal architectural integration.
Air curtains were installed in three of the doors to prevent draughts and promote energy savings, while ensuring the comfort of customers and sales staff.
At the main entrance to the shop, the 2500 size, the largest standard size, was chosen. It covers the entire door and prevents draughts, thus ensuring the comfort of users and employees. In addition, the chosen Zen design air curtains are equipped with an electric heating system.
The air curtains were installed horizontally above the door in the specific "side-by-side" configuration, i.e. two or more air curtains are seamlessly integrated next to each other, leaving no uncovered space between the discharge grilles.
The Zen model is equipped as standard with a forge black epoxy-polyester paint finish, with the front and rear panels being fully customisable, in anodised aluminium as standard.
The air curtain is equipped with special double-intake centrifugal fans and provides the expected climatic separation at a low noise level. This model is also available with energy-saving EC (electronically commutated) motors. It is available as standard in an electric version with 5 fan speeds and 3 heating stages.
The perforated intake grille is concealed in the upper part of the unit casing. The Zen design air curtain produces a laminar airflow with specially designed aluminium profile louvres that can be adjusted from 0 to 15° in both directions.
